The remainder of this page includes the most frequently asked questions that people have after viewing the video and the answers to those questions.  But first, you need to know that the "Best business to start in China" is one that you can operate from your home, either here in the USA, Canada or some other country.

This is what is being discussed here today, starting and operating your own business, working with Chinese manufacturers from your location and not having to physically relocate to China.  With that said, you are encouraged now to read the following Q & A's and decide if this is the best business to start in China for you.

Hi, Murray here, did you watch the entire video? It's different, isn't it? That is why, if you are like most people, something clicked inside you and said, "Hey, this sounds real!"

Do you know why?  There is a logical answer, it is because this is a 'real' business opportunity where you will be working with a "real" international business.  There is NO "it-all-sounds-good-except-for-one-little-detail" that makes it all fall apart.

Your feelings are completely understandable since almost nothing on the Internet relating to "business opportunities" is real...but, bottom line, the Internet is the best way to get this important message out to the right people, like you, who are sincerely searching for a real path to success in the international trade business.

Ok, consider yourself lucky. You are one of the few who will find an international business that is both real and 'uniquely' different.  Something you do need to understand, however, is because this is a 'real' business, you will need to be both persistent and patient to achieve success and profitability...but it is a business that provides you with the 'real' potential for replacing your current income many times over.

Here are some questions that others, like you, have been asking along with my answers:

Murray, there are tons of Internet scams. How do you know this is not one of those?

Well, in a sense, you don’t. EXCEPT, there are certain very specific differences between this 'real' business opportunity and some of the other 'programs' you will find out there. Here are a few of those differences:

  1. There are only a couple of hundred other folks doing this with us. Not “thousands”.

  2. There is no “referral fee” or MLM level to this……you are truly partnering with Murray and Hui.  You won't need to get "10 friends angry with you".

  3. Murray Smith is the president. You will be dealing "direct" with his wife, Hui, and Murray directly.

  4. Nothing is held back.  The reason you responded to the Internet presentation is because it SOUNDED different.  And, you know what? It is!  This is a 'real' business where you will be dealing direct with 'real' people - NO mystery, it is all very real and that is why it makes perfect sense.

Murray, you have only have a couple of hundred people doing this. How many could you handle?

My guess is that we could handle two to three times the volume with the people we have now. It would be at that point we would have to start hiring a permanent staff in the US and a larger staff in China (Update: we have already started doing this). However, any one person could bring in one or several clients with dozens of products, and that is what is so great about this business.

If this is such a great deal, what do you need me for?

OK, good question, so think about this for a moment.  It is very difficult, if not impossible to manage a staff and develop new business in the United States while we are in China or dealing with our factories in China.  We need to be watching over the orders getting manufactured and keeping an eye on the quality.

It is much better to have smart, motivated people in the US or Canada who can make and manage deals, and share 50 percent or even 33 percent, in some cases, which is better than making nothing.  We need people (you) who are motivated by the potential of earning a large portion of the profits and who can establish business relationships over the phone, get orders, and send them to us for manufacturing - in most instances, hourly employees are not motivated to the degree a business owner is - simple as that.

Murray, you are going to help with this, right? I don’t know who to call or what to say.

Good! I hate cold calling too.  You know what?  Our best customer came from a blind email! Our next two best customers came from our website!

However, it is still a good idea to make "warm" calls...but unlike cold calling which is calling and trying to sell something to someone, you are one professional calling another professional about their business.

To better illustrate the difference of calling someone to sell them something versus what this business is all about, imagine you are calling a doctor about pharmaceuticals. You most often do not get to see the doctor unless you bring lunch for the entire staff…and then there are no guarantees.

But, in our type of business, imagine you are another doctor and you want to refer a patient to the other doctor.  Do you think you will get through to the doctor you are calling? Of course! Because you are one professional calling another about their practice.

The same scenario applies to this business. Manufacturers and distributors want to hear from you. You will become intimately involved in their business, potentially saving them on production costs, possibly even helping them stay in business…and China is what everyone wants to talk about.

How are transactions and payments handled?

The transaction process can be handled in different ways, depending on the circumstances and the way you wish to handle them. Typically the manufacturing clients send money directly to our Chinese factory. Since we function as "manufacturers' agents", we do not assume as much liability as a direct importer. (This is fully explained in our training materials). We then invoice them separately in a consulting fee arrangement.

This does a couple of things. It shifts the liability away from us on to the Chinese manufacturer.  If there is (and there hasn’t been yet) a problem, then we play the role of the problem solver, not the person who has to come up with the money to give back to the client.

Also, with an open fee arrangement, our North American clients are usually much more open about their target pricing. This makes it easier to negotiate with our Chinese manufacturers if margins are thin.

Now, if necessary, you can have your American client deal with us, as their American agent, OR they can deal with you directly. It’s up to you, but I will be there to help walk you through each deal you bring to the table.

Do I need to worry about my client "going around" us if the Chinese manufacturer is paid directly?

That is one of your greatest benefits you get from this program and doing business with Hui, my wife and I.  When you are dealing with family in China, no one goes around you.  As a matter of fact, you should invite your client to come to China and inspect the factory!  If you are interested in going as well, have him or her pay for your trip.  It works that way with us all the time.

Can I do this while I have a day job?

That depends. There are several people doing this while still working full-time jobs.  You should be able to make at least 10 calls per day. Following that schedule, you should, within a short time, have your first client.  You want to make sure you can take inbound calls though and be able to do so in a professional manner.

There is also an Internet strategy that works very well and which could be working for you when you are unable to make calls or as an expansion of your overall marketing strategies.  This strategy will be shared with you along with other marketing resources when you join our program.

If you work 9 to 5 and are on the Eastern or Central time zone, you could concentrate your calling on manufacturer's located in the Mountain or Pacific time zones.  Basically, where there is a will to succeed, you will find a way.

What kind of success are other people having? What is realistic?

I will be completely upfront with you about everything and quite frankly, we DO NOT want you to come on board with us if it does not “feel” right to you.

You should pursue this 'only' if you have patience, ambition and are able to articulate yourself clearly on the phone or be willing and committed to learning how to do so.

There is one 55-year-old gentleman, a school teacher, who signed up and 24 hours after receiving the material had his first RFQ (Request For Quote). 48 hours later, he had two more with eight different products. Three weeks after he signed up, we placed the first “test” order of one container full of one item. We will make $1400 on that test order.

The client told us that they typically order 10 containers at a timeon a monthly basis. (You do the math.) As of this writing, we are waiting on that test order to come in. I asked our rep, Tom, how long it really took him to get those orders. He said it was about three full days of calling.

Another rep, who joined recently, called shortly after getting started (he is a truck driver from Florida).  He was very excited because he already had his first RFQ (Request For Quote).  It was for a container load of manhole covers.  I asked him how many calls he had made to get that RFQ.  He said "ONE".  It was his first dial of the phone.  He said Murray, you are stuck with me for life!  That is awesome and it shows how much of a need there is for this business.

Let me also mention that several people who signed up very quickly and there has not been a peep from them since. How long have you been doing this, Murray?

I have personally been doing this three years.  It took about a year to figure out the best resources for locating who to call and more importantly, who not to call.  Getting clients is easy.  Finding products and companies that you can make money with is a little trickier, however, my experience and all of our little known success discoveries for this business are outlined for you.

Is this business available outside the USA and Canada?

No. The business opportunity is only available to citizens of the United States and Canada and it is not anticipated that this will ever change.

So how long does it take to get going?

You should give yourself three to five months to get your first check. This is not because you are trying to find new clients, but because it takes a while to go back and forth between the USA and China with drawings, samples, PO's (Purchase Orders), then actually making the product and shipping it to the United States (4 weeks on that alone).  But, if you got an order “tomorrow” (for example), you could possibly move things up a month or more.

Can I speak to some of your other reps?

I would probably ask for the same thing.  However, put yourself in my shoes, or better yet, in their shoes.  Imagine for a second that you become an agent with us, start having great success, would you want 30, 40 or sometimes 50 people a day calling you, taking up your valuable calling time to answer their questions?

Would you tell them how great this is?  You would probably not want to tell everyone who called you out-of-the-blue how great this is (knowing when they join it means more competition for you) ... and you would most likely get very annoyed with all the phone calls.

I am seeing other programs that appear to be like yours being advertised, how is your business different?

Actually, I too have seen some new "importing business opportunities" popping up.  Some are websites that offer cheap Chinese goods for you to resell on eBay or peddle to retailers.  I am not going to tell you what to do, but will say that is a hard way to do business.

It is tempting because you, as a business opportunity candidate, can see the apparent opportunity.  But if you are wise and do your due diligence on these 'opportunities' you will find that most of the products they offer are junk...and you will most likely get stuck with a garage or basement full of inventory.

There are also some "importing courses" that offer you a chance to do "international business".  They give you tons of information, then you have to get on "chat rooms" or "trader bulletin boards" and "attempt" to make deals. 

There have been a number of people who call asking about our business who have signed up for one of those other programs (some of which range up to $8,500) and "none" of these callers have made a single transaction.  It is easy to generate activity, it is hard to make a real transaction happen in most of these other programs.

What would my title be in this business?

You will be a Contract Manufacturing Consultant...not a broker or a trader.  There is a huge difference.  However, following our proven success system, you can still get paid on every piece made.
