Yes, it has been nearly 3 months since our last issue. I am still alive and kicking despite what some have thought. I thank each of you who were kind and concerned enough to write and inquire if I was OK.

This is a VERY IMPORTANT issue - it will be covering the following:

Now get your reading glasses on (if you need them like I do) because you 'need' to read this issue thoroughly and pay attention to what is being announced and what will be happening in the very near future.

There are many reasons for my 'long' pause in newsletters. Some business, some personal. My wife was sick for several weeks and I was doing many of the things that she would do and taking care of her, as well. I also had a slight bout with illness, but nothing that was as severe as my wife had. I am happy to report that we are both feeling much better and hopefully will not have any relapses (more on the joys of getting older at a later date).

Now to the business reasons - I will list them by number so you know better where one ends and the next begins.

1. During this long pause I have been working diligently with the publishers of both our Import and Exporting Training materials as well as the publisher of the 58 trade directories we offer at our web site.

What we have done is to eliminate many of the steps in ordering and streamlining the process so your order goes direct to our publisher for quicker processing and shipment. If you have been turned off by the many step process ordering we once had, I urge you to review the resource again and see how easy we have made it so you may order.

All total, we have made changes that number in the "thousands" - most of which are invisible to you and other visitors. We have added hundreds of new order 'direct from the publisher' pages in this process.

Along with all of the above mentioned changes to our web site, we have also posted Twenty-Nine (29) of our past Global B2B Newsletters to the web site. This offers both old and new subscribers the opportunity of reviewing the valuable articles and resources published in them, as well as the valuable trade leads.

3. The Future of the Global B2B Newsletter.

During these past three months and for several months prior to this period I have given much thought to this newsletter and whether or not I would continue publishing it.

As you can see from the above mentioned items (1 & 2) I can devote my time and efforts to other aspects of the business that I believe will be receive much more attention from the worldwide audience available through the Internet.

What I have found in the last year while tracking clickthrus on links placed in the newsletter has been very disturbing.

Out of more than 15,000 subscribers (now 18,600+) in some of our last issues, we would see clickthru rates that numbered in the low hundreds. This despite the fact that the tracking links were attached to ads, articles, new web pages or trade leads that were highly targeted to what our subscribers "supposedly" had originally subscribed to our newsletter to receive?

Now our business is no different than any other business when it comes to reviewing what is and what isn't creating a positive cash flow. A large corporation can ill afford to pay someone to carry out a task that ultimately is losing them money and neither can a small, one person operation (it is much more so for a one person operation).

Another proof of the pudding (an old saying we have in central Pennsylvania) was when we would ask subscribers to visit our web site for new pages, new resources, etc. and to check out our advertisers while they were there. Again, we have not seen any direct impact on the clickthru rates for our "on site" advertisers.

With all this said, I have reached several conclusions about continuing the newsletter. They "WILL" affect "everyone" who is subscribed, so if it is worthy of your time, please pay attention. If it is not, please scroll to the bottom of this newsletter and click the UNSUBSCRIBE link now and do us both a favor.

Here is what I intend to do:

A. The newsletter has caused me to receive an increasing amount of junk email and virus attachments - I have already implemented an action that has required new subscribers to reply to a confirmation Email in order to be added to our database. This has already reduced the virus attached emails and also cut the number of new subscribers from about 50 a day to about 50 a week.

This is fine with me. I would rather have 50 a week who are really interested enough to take the time to click on the confirmation link than 300 who are either too lazy or do not even remember signing up for it.

The main problem I still have is when I send a newsletter to the entire database (now 18,600+) there are hundreds of these emails that automatically send me their junk email and mail with vir*us attachments. Thus, there is no easy way for me to cull these addresses and eliminate this time consuming problem.

B. Fully 50-70% of all email today is never reaching it's intended address due to various filters. This is a proven fact and part of the problem that I think we are encountering.

To remedy this situation, I have obtained a new software that will allow subscribers to sign up to receive notice of a new issue being available online in the form of a small, blinking icon like your Internet Explorer Icon or any of the very small Icons at the bottom of your Desktop in your taskbar. It would only blink when I sent out a notice that a new newsletter or announcement is ready for you to view.

I have studied this software briefly and have known the software provider for about 5 years and trust them. They are having great success with this software and are receiving great feedback from subscribers of their own newsletter and other newsletter publishers who are using it.

I have to work out some issues with using it on our web site hosting service but hope to have it fully operational and available for all subscribers to sign up for in about 2 months.

The continuation of the newsletter will depend upon positive feed back from you. I will be monitoring both the Desktop system and the email delivery system for positive feedback in the form of higher clickthru rates on the items I mentioned earlier, both in the newsletter and within the web site. If the numbers do not improve in the next year, I will most likely discontinue publishing the newsletter.

PS: Ron Coble here. Using the information contained in the Finders Fee Course book, I earned my first finders fees way back in the early 90's. For about 3 hours worth of work, I earned approximately $1,000.00 by finding a supplier for a buyer. Now according to my calculator, that comes to about $333.33 an hour.

WHO really makes money in Real Estate?

The Seller makes money. The Real Estate agent, Bank, Appraiser, Lawyer, Insurance Agent, and even the City, County and State (tax collectors) make money -- but -- the BUYER pays (even if the 'lucky' buyer buys a distressed fixer upper for no money down, he pays).

But, each year, poor souls across this country who want to 'Get Rich in Real Estate' fall for the same old sucker-pitch and pay out millions upon millions of dollars for courses, tapes, manuals and books on 'How To' -- buy distressed properties -- buy with No Money Down -- buy tax lien properties -- buy fixer uppers.
