Happy 2004!

I hope that each of you have had some time off over the last few weeks and are now refreshed and ready to take on the New Year.

Here in Pennsylvania it is a typical January morning... Cold and showering enough snow that there are patches of white on the grass. I dream of Spring (my favorite time of the year) when the grass is green, the flowers and trees are in bloom and there is a hint of warm air in the breeze.

Enough dreaming. Let's get to business.

Some of you may recall from some of my earlier messages in which it was stated you will find little success with trade leads located on international trade boards.

I still stand by this statement based on continuing conversations with other Exporters and my own personal experience.

Beyond the success in locating buyers through Export Leads the only leads that we have personally had "any" success with were those generated by and through our web site.

After learning all that you can about Exporting, Importing or both through our training materials and scouring the pages (online) from the Export Leads web site, you should really begin to develop a web presence for the products you are selling internationally.

There is NO better way to allow the world to see your products 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year than having them displayed on your own web site.

My own success and early retirement from a job would not have occurred if we had ignored the Internet and the power it holds to expose your products to a worldwide audience who are searching for you.

WHO really makes money in Real Estate?

The Seller makes money. The Real Estate agent, Bank, Appraiser, Lawyer, Insurance Agent, and even the City, County and State (tax collectors) make money -- but -- the BUYER pays (even if the 'lucky' buyer buys a distressed fixer upper for no money down, he pays).

But, each year, poor souls across this country who want to 'Get Rich in Real Estate' fall for the same old sucker-pitch and pay out millions upon millions of dollars for courses, tapes, manuals and books on 'How To' -- buy distressed properties -- buy with No Money Down -- buy tax lien properties -- buy fixer uppers.

Real Estate BUYERS are the ones who have to make the monthly payments (if they can get the financing to begin with); pay the interest; pay the taxes and assessments; pay the cost of upkeep and maintenance; and pay the commission to the Real Estate agent when they decide to sell. (How do you get rich "paying?")
